In less than three weeks Kentucky voters will go to the polls. For the first time in 14 years my name will not appear on the ballot. As my congressional career draws to a close, I would like to take a moment to thank you for allowing me this unique opportunity to serve in public office. Together, we have worked to achieve many important objectives to strengthen the security and prosperity of our families and local communities.

WASHINGTON, D.C –October 1, 2008 - U.S. Rep Ron Lewis (KY-02) secured $2 million in federal funding for the Owensboro Cancer Research Program at the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center. The designation was included as part of the Department of Defense Appropriations Act of 2009 signed into law Tuesday morning by President Bush.

Monday to join efforts calling on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to bring Congress back into session to address the burgeoning energy crisis in the United States. WASHINGTON, D.C –June 11, 2008 – President Bush signed the SAFETEA-LU Technical Corrections Act of 2008 (H.R. 1195) into law Friday June 6th. The bill, which makes critical fixes to the transportation research title of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act, included a measure added by U.S. Rep. Ron Lewis (KY-02)to designate the Audubon and Natcher Parkways in western Kentucky as future interstate spurs.
