WASHINGTON, D.C –October 1, 2008 - U.S. Rep Ron Lewis (KY-02) secured $2 million in federal funding for the Owensboro Cancer Research Program at the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center. The designation was included as part of the Department of Defense Appropriations Act of 2009 signed into law Tuesday morning by President Bush.

WASHINGTON, D.C –June 11, 2008 – President Bush signed the SAFETEA-LU Technical Corrections Act of 2008 (H.R. 1195) into law Friday June 6th. The bill, which makes critical fixes to the transportation research title of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act, included a measure added by U.S. Rep. Ron Lewis (KY-02)to designate the Audubon and Natcher Parkways in western Kentucky as future interstate spurs.
