Many of us watched with outrage several weeks ago as the Russian Army launched a brutal thrust into the Republic of Georgia, ostensibly in defense of the break-away regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. As I write this, the invasion has ended, but Russian forces still have not left Georgian soil.

- Comments (View)For decades, people have derided even the theory of Ballistic Missile Defense. Never, they said, would we be able to hit a bullet with a bullet and shoot down a missile flying through space, carrying a nuclear weapon to destroy an American city. But there’s bad news for the naysayers: ground-based interceptors work. And if we deploy them, instead of delaying them, our children and grandchildren will not be defenseless against an attack by rogue nations or terrorists.

- Comments (View)George W. Bush is more than a president to me – he is a personal friend. I believe, however, that his advisers have done a grave disservice both to him and to the American people by crafting the administration's recently stated position before the U.S. Supreme Court in the case of Medellin v. Texas.
