WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and Representative Marion Berry (AR-01) announced today that the city of Jonesboro will receive a $1,600,000 grant from the United States Department of Commerce’s (DOC) Economic Development Administration. The funding will be used to construct a rail spur and road improvements necessary to expand the Craighead Technology Industrial Park in Jonesboro. “Northeast Arkansas will benefit greatly from these funds, and I’m pleased to see the federal government make this investment in our state. Not only will this money help create job opportunities, it will also enhance critical infrastructure in the area. I will continue to work to secure funds and resources to keep our state strong,” said Lincoln.
